Over 40 years of experience working as an EA in the tax industry. I've taught (several years ago) at Ivy Tech and National Business Institute, as well as training tax practitioners at Jackson Hewitt, but my practice has kept me so busy the last 20 years that I haven't had time to teach. I am now semi-retired and would really like to get back into teaching, especially during the off season.
A graduate of the University of Louisville summa cum laude, I started my practice while still in college, and it has grown exponentially over the last 40 years. I have always specialized in small businesses (sole proprietorships, S Corps and Partnerships), payroll and non-profits. My expertise includes working with businesses to set up their accounting office including selection of hardware and software and training employees, following up with general ledger reviews, and prepping for year end. I've assisted with a cash to accrual conversion, as well as conversions between accounting software products. As I approach retirement age, I am looking to add speaking engagements during my downtime outside of tax season. I enjoy working with groups, and I'm especially good at breaking down complex subjects into easily digestible pieces for beginning to mid-level professionals in the industry.
