Overington to assume role effective May 16, following leadership transition
May 15, 2026, Alexandria, VA — The National Society of Accountants (NSA) announced today that John Overington will serve as Interim Executive Director, effective May 16. Overington currently serves as Director of Membership for NSA and Executive Director of the National Society of Accountants Foundation.
Overington brings more than 15 years of experience in association leadership, membership strategy, and partnership development. Since joining NSA in 2022, he has led initiatives that have driven consistent membership growth, strengthened retention, expanded non-dues revenue, and modernized core systems and operations.
“The Board believes John’s leadership style, operational focus, and member-first mindset make him well-suited for this role,” said Randy Brandt, NSA Board President. “We look forward to working together as NSA continues to strengthen the value it delivers to practitioners across the country.”
Joshua Caulfield, DBA, IOM, will transition from his role as Chief Executive Officer and continue to support NSA in a reduced capacity, ensuring continuity during this leadership transition.
